The customer may reduce their franchise responsibility by paying an additional insurance fee. To reduce the franchise for monthly rentals, the customer must pay the equivalent of 18 days of additional insurance according to the assigned vehicle category. The customer is solely responsible for any damage caused by misuse, negligence, or failure to observe the vehicle’s preventive mechanisms (audible or light signals), river crossings, and/or driving on dirt, gravel, sand, or other unpaved roads, even if the cost exceeds the franchise. Movil Renta is exempt from any responsibility for delays, losses, costs, or vehicle replacement due to these causes. This coverage includes any damage or infringement caused by anyone using the vehicle during the rental period.
Movil Renta will charge a service fee if the vehicle is not returned with the same amount of fuel as delivered.
The customer assumes responsibility for the content and charges detailed in the return document when the vehicle is returned outside of business hours, or during business hours without waiting for that document and vehicle inspection.
If the customer needs to cancel a confirmed reservation, it is important to notify Movil Renta as far in advance as possible.
Rentals taken at airports will NOT have an additional airport fee.
