1.Safety Tips
- Before setting off, adjust the driver’s seat and rear-view mirrors to achieve the ideal driving position.
- All vehicle occupants must wear seat belts.
- Children under 10 years old must be seated in the rear seats with seat belts fastened.
- Children over 1 year old, until their weight and height allow otherwise, must use child safety seats. Always in the rear seat.
- Children under 1 year must be placed in rear-facing child safety seats, in the back seat of the vehicle.
- DO NOT use a cell phone while driving.
- Signal all maneuvers using turn signals.
- Observe and respect road signs.
- Do not drive after consuming alcohol. Even one glass or a beer is enough to impair reaction time, perception, and create a false sense of security. Remember that Tucumán has adopted Law No. 6.082 of 'zero' tolerance.
- Respect speed limits. Excessive speed, especially combined with alcohol consumption, is a factor in most serious accidents, even if seat belts are properly used. It's important to moderate your speed.
- Gradually reduce speed when visibility decreases due to fog or smoke.
- Use the vehicle’s hazard lights only when stopping or during roadside stops. Do not stop abruptly on the road or shoulder.
- Distractions while driving are another major cause of accidents. At a speed of 80 km/h, a 2-second distraction means driving 44.4 meters without paying attention to the road, during which anything can happen.
